It Takes Two Gays In the Wizard

I was unfortunate enough to have watched It Takes Two over the weekend. It's a film starring MK and A Olsen. It seems Hollywood loves the idea of twins separated at birth, as in the La Lohan film The Parent Trap, or two identical strangers who actually meet each other, as in ITT. The second one is much harder to believe. So anyway, the film starring the Olsen twins, also includes the talents of Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Alley. One thing I've concluded about the Olsen twins is that one of them can act better than the other. Which one is which I can't say exactly. I know they are interchanged throughout the film, a la imdb, but I don't know who was who at any given moment. And no, I can't say I lasted through the whole film; I was preparing to go out that nite to see Doc Martin, the house DJ and let me just say he rocked; Big Time! Having watched the Parent Trap as well, I can sincerely say Lindsey Lohan is a phenomenal actress... compared to these two.

I was also so fortunate as to catch the Wizard of Oz on TV. A much better film, if I may say. A very ingenious and innovative story. And who else doesn't think that Dorothy's friends, Scarecrow, Tinman and the cowardly Lion are not flamboyantly gay? Not just b/c they sing and dance, although that helps, but because of all their mannerisms. Oh and plus, all that make up!

I've decided to revive my blog!

Its been foreva, freal, but I decided to revive my blog. So for the past few months, I've been working at a music company in Soho NYC and its been fun, although somewhat hectic at times. recently, I've decided to pursue a career in acupuncture and thats going to entail going back to school for a few years. I'm looking into some good schools in NYC and i think it will be reallyl great to learn more about holistic healing and stuff. Plus, its a tribute to my chinese background and I'm already a firm believer in Qi, which is an energy life force that exists in everything, people plants, animals, the earth, etc. Being healthy includes having a healthy balance of Qi, ensuring that it flows naturally from one part of your body to another. Acupuncture helps to rectify any blockages that may exist. ANd although I hate needles! Acupuncture actually doesn't really hurt, its nothing like a hypodermic needle which is hollow. It pinches just slightly but feels nothing like a piercing.
I think its a good decision in my life because so far, ever since graduating has been sort of lacking direction. I worked in Berkeley shortly after graduating. I left that job after two years. I moved back to the east coast and began working in film. i did that for two years. I studied audio engineering for a few months and then got this job I'm at now. I feel like I should really buckle down and decide what it is exactly I want to be.
Working as an acupuncturist sounds really appealing to me because I can help people, which is something I really want to do. I can use preventative medicine and help heal people who are feeling sick.

its before the but crack of dawn

and I'm up and at work. lucky me to be one of those early risers who can't seem to fall asleep early no matter how early I drag myself to bed. I'm in the office now and I'm the only one here, hence the blog the entry. I ordered breakfast a while ago, am going to be making coffee soon and already did some paper work. What can I say? I'm a busy girl.
being a PA sucks ass.
But thats ok, most jobs kinda suck anyways. thats my big revelation.

I should take pictures of all these freaks I see in the subway system. The other day, I saw some guy dancing with a blow up doll...actually expecting to be paid money for it. Then there was some dude with a electronic keyboard and he was surrounded by those dolls that dance when you play music, or make noise. He was playing some organ music and those little dolls where all dancing, it was crazy I tell you, crazy.

went to a wedding today

It was one of my dad's friend's kids. Well he's not a kid , he's actually 35. He's chinese and his new wife is korean. so they had a little bit of a korean ceremony. the festivities were celebratory. yeah, that sounded nice the way I just wrote that... i don't know what else to say except that the best man's speech wasn't funny, even though he was trying to be, but I'm being mean. My dad's friend sang a few songs. He loves elvis and wants to be him. He's an asian elvis basically. Which reminds me of when I was in hong kong and there was a guy who dressed like elvis and went out to parties in lan kwai fong and it was funny. I saw him numerous times at numerous places. he had the white bespeckled suit, the sunglasses, the hair and everything.
Dreams are weird aren't they? I had a dream I was in Barnes and Noble but it was more like strand books, there were ladders to climb and everything. By the time i got to the top, I wanted to buy a scarlett etienne cd and I found one in the music section. But then I checked my back pocket and only had 20 bucks and the cd cost 38.99. I actually remember looking at it and seeing that amount and thinking,"shucks, I can't get the cd, after all the climbing of ladders I did."

Winter Music Conference

ITs going to be starting in miami FL on the 23 of march and unfortunately I cannot go. I wish I could.
Paul van dyk is gonna be there, gabriel and dresden, dave seaman, scarlett etienne and many more. I wish I could be there but maybe next year. I just wanted to go the parties and have fun, but alas, My job doesn't allow it. Definitely next year I will plan things out better and go.

Plan to not to be working for that week anyways.
-My friend TJ is visiting from SF in early April and I can't wait to hang out with him.
I don't know why I have a blog, I don't know what to say sometimes, thats the same problem I have when I'm out with people, I just don't know what to say and I get caught in my own head.
I'm fine socializing at clubs though because I love to dance but not everyone likes to party.

posting is a problem

for me. it seems.

Its been weeks which a friend and fellow blogger pointed out to me www.vignette.org
I'm now working at a new job on a film called mostly martha. its directed by scott hicks and stars catherine zeta jones and aaron eckhart, who i've never really heard of except he's in that new movie called thank you for smoking, which looks hilarious.
I'm hoping its going to be a good movie. it'd be nice to be part of a project which I believed in , that last tv show i worked on love monkey isn't getting the greatest reviews, one of them being from me. Tom cavanagh is really funny and I like him a lot but him alone, he just can't hold the whole show together for me.
my dad's 60th birthday was this weekend and i came home to celebrate. its also chinese new year, the year of the dog. Its nice to leave the city sometimes. I love working in manhattan and everything, but getting out into the subarbs definitely calms the mind.
